Police Helicopter Crashes In Bauchi

A police helicopter which took off from Abuja has crashed at the Bauchi Airport, the Accident Investigation Bureau said on Thursday. However, no loss of life was recorded, the AIB noted. “On 26th January, 2022, Accident Investigation Bureau, Nigeria was notified by Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) about an accident involving a Bell 429 helicopter with Registration Marks 5N-MDA owned and operated by Nigerian Police Force (NPF),” the statement said. “The accident occurred on 26th January, 2022 around 7:30pm (Local Time) at Bauchi Airport. “The NPF helicopter had departed Abuja at 16:54 UTC for Bauchi with Six persons on board maintaining 5,500ft “There were some injuries but no fatality. “The investigating agency, AIB-N needs and hereby solicits for your assistance. In his latest interview with  Hollywood Unlocked , the rapper, who now legally goes by Ye, noted that he had retrieved a laptop from Ray J, who was together with Kim in her first sex tape released in 2017, which led to years of controversy. According to Ye, he got the laptop, which he claimed had another unreleased sex tape, and gave it to Kim to save her from another scandal. FG suspends planned fuel subsidy removal indefinitely

 The Federal Government has announced the suspension of the planned removal of subsidy on petroleum products till further notice. The Minister of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Zainab Ahmed, made this disclosure on Monday at a meeting held at the National Assembly. Okay.ngunderstands that the meeting was convened at the instance of the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan. Speaking at the meeting, the finance minister said the federal government initially had the plans to remove subsidy on petroleum products from July this year. She said: “Provision was made in the 2022 budget for subsidy payment from January till June. That suggested that from July, there would be no subsidy. ” The provision was made sequel to the passage of the Petroleum Industry Act which indicated that all petroleum products would be deregulated. “Sequel to the passage of the PIA, we went back to amend the fiscal framework to incorporate the subsidy removal. “However, after the budget was passed, we had con

NFT marketplace, OpenSea, reportedly loses $780,000 to hackers

The world’s largest Non Fungible Token marketplace, OpenSea, has reportedly lost 332 Etherium to hackers on Monday. This amounts to $2,350 per Ether and $780,000, based on the current market rate. Peck Shield, a blockchain security company made this known through a tweet that read, “It appears that @opensea has a front-end issue and the exploiter gained about 332 Ether.” The tweet came along with an Ether Scan transaction ID for the hack. Peck Shield, which was founded to elevate the security and usability of the entire blockchain ecosystem, did not give further details as of the time of the report. IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu The leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, never denied being the leader of the Igbo nationalist organisation while taking his plea at a Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday, his lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has said. According to the lawyer, the clarification became necessary because of what he described as “deliberate misrepresentation/falsehood and wrong   narratives being perpetuated by some mischief makers” and gaining prominence in social media. Nigeria lifts Twitter ban after seven months

  Nigeria's government suspended Twitter last June after   the company deleted a tweet by President Muhammadu Buhari about punishing regional secessionists . Shonekan: FG orders national flag to fly at half-mast

  The  Federal Government has ordered that the national flag be flown at half-mast as a mark of respect for the former Head of State, Ernest Shonekan, who died on Tuesday, January 11. The order takes effect from the 12th to 14th of January, 2022, according to a statement signed by Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.   Teni Gunshot scare forced popular Nigerian Artist, Teniola Apata, also known as Teni, to flee an event in Buguma Town, Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State over the weekend.   Téní Àpáta Nigerian artiste, Teniola Apata, professionally known as Teni, has cleared the air on the gunshots that disrupted her performance at a carnival in Rivers State. In a viral video which surfaced on Sunday, the singer fled the stage at an event which was held at Buguma Town, Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State. Some media outlets (not  WEXERES NG ) had reported that the gunshot scare was a kidnap attempt on the singer. Clearing the air, Teni took to her Instagram story on Saturday to refute claims that it was a kidnap attempt. “It all happened so fast. There was no incidence of attempted kidnap,” the singer wrote. Teniola Apata   Nigerian singer, Teniola Akpata, simply known as Teni,cut off her performance and ran for her life at a show in Rivers state. She was performing when a fight began between a guy and another. A viral video made available online shows that at the sound of gunshots, the music star ran out of the show for her own safety. Teni is known for her afropop hit “Millionaire” and “Uyo Meyo”. She was allegedly performing her top single “Hustle” off her most recent album, when the incident happened in Port Harcourt. Teni was also featured to perform at the “Rich and Famous” night in Owerri on December 30,2021. She posted the event on her official platform. However, little is known about the performance at Port Harcourt.

 The Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji has joined his ancestors. It was gathered that the monarch joined his ancestors in the early hours of Sunday. The monarch who ruled over 11 local government areas that make up of Ibadan died less than one month after the death of Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Jimoh Oyewumi. Oba Adetunji died at the age of 93.
