The petition exclusively obtained by POLITICS NIGERIA was attached to a letter addressed to President Tinubu and filed by Ahmed Fahad, a social justice advocate. It was dated August 18, 2023, and titled ‘Petition To President Tinubu Against Dangote’ and copied to Jim Obazee, who was recently appointed by the President as a special investigator to probe the Central Bank of Nigeria and related entities. NDLEA Denies Appointing Naira Marley As Ambassador

Naira Marley and Marwa The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has debunked reports that it has engaged music star, Afeez Adeshina Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, as its ambassador. NDLEA’s spokesman, Femi Babafemi, in a statement yesterday, said the agency’s engagement with Naira Marley was to encourage him to use his skills and platforms to put out content that would discourage millions of his followers and Nigerian youths from substance abuse. 26 Nigeria troops killed in ambush, rescue helicopter crashes: military sources

Nigerian Troops At least 26 members of the Nigerian security forces were killed and eight wounded in an ambush by gunmen in central Nigeria late Sunday, two military sources told AFP. On Monday, Burkina Faso and Mali issued a joint statement warning against military intervention in their neighbor and coup-stricken Niger, claiming that such action would equate to war in the West African area. According to WEXERES NEWS, the two countries, which are both run by militarily supported administrations, issued the warning in response to a threat made by West African leaders. Recall that following the successful coup in Niger last week, the ECOWAS leadership vowed to take military action against the junta during an emergency meeting in Abuja, Nigeria.
