Plateau: Seven hospitalised, one missing as suspected herdsmen launch fresh attack

About seven persons were injured in Rafiki and Dutse Kura communities of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State during a fresh attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen on Wednesday (today).
Although the number of deaths has not been confirmed, it was however learnt that one of the persons shot by the assailants have been declared missing.
The youths in the communities were said to have entered the bush looking for him following speculations that he may have been killed.
The president of Miango Youths Development Association, Lawrence Zongo, stated this in a WhatsApp message to our correspondent on Wednesday.
He said, “There was a fresh attack this (Wednesday) morning around 6:30am.
“More than seven people have been seriously injured by Fulani terrorists. One person is missing.
“We appreciate the efforts of management of Enos Hospital and Bingham University Teaching Hospital in Jos for taking time in treating the injured ones.”
Several calls, SMS and WhatsApp messages to the spokesperson of Plateau State Police Command, Matthias Tyopev, were not replied.
